Building a Better Tomorrow

Founded in 2002, HO Iskra is restarting their work by focusing on raising the quality of life to people with cerebral palsy and other people with disabilities. We’re driven by a firm belief in the power of humanity, and we will do anything it takes to make an impact. Inspired to advance the everyday life of her son Nebojsha who has cerebral palsy, one of the founders and President of HO Iskra, Milevka formed this organization to reach to as many people with CP, other disabilities and from marginalized groups and help them reach their own potentials. Soon, we want to start offering quality content articles through our blog, with the latest information about improving the quality of life for people with disabilities. We hope that this website and the blog will spread our presence which will productively contribute to our society.

Our efforts in the previous years were :

-Establishing a project to deliver every 4 months basic food packages to 21 indigent families with a cerebral palsy member

-Gathering and delivering donations in clothes to individuals, families and group homes for children without parents, disabled children without parents and adults in group homes.

As of 2016, the team at HO Iskra is trying to find funding for a project to bring existent assistive technology to people with severe cerebral palsy.
