HO Iskra joins World CP Day
The Humanitarian organization Iskra joined World Cerebral Palsy Day, a movement of people with cerebral palsy and their families, and the organisations that support them, in more than 50 countries. Their vision is to ensure that children and adults with cerebral palsy (CP) have the same human and civil rights, access and opportunities as anyone else in our society and it abides a fundamental declaration: I AM HERE.
In January 2017 the Humanitarian Organization Iskra from Skopje joined this network of organizations and wants to contribute to the WORLD CP DAY by celebrating it with a national essay contest, open for everyone, no matter their ethnicity, religious beliefs, race or whether they have a disability or not.
The details about the essay contest will be published at the end of July as part of bigger, raising awareness project that will take place on social media. Currently we are looking for funding and any type of contribution, would be welcome.
The official webpage worldcpday.org has an abundance of educational and raising awareness resources and soon ( hopefully around thebeginning of June) everything will be translated in macedonian. We encourage all our visitors to drop by, maybe even share a CP related story on worldcpday.org/map !
